Mississauga Hurontario-Main Line 10 LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

We can only hope this will be the case. Hopefully Miway won't impose overbearing safety precautions onto their LRT operations in a similar fashion as the TTC has to their LRT and streetcar operations. Purposely slowing down through intersections, approaching stations/ stops at a slow speed, etc.
Miway won’t be involved in any of the LRT operations, it’s entirely with with P3 consortium for the Hurontario LRT. I hope that this enables better decision-making unburdened by public sector malaise.

Gonna have to wait for the snow to melt and the winds to calm down before I can get more aerial shots, but there are now lane markings on the newly paved section closest to Hurontario / Steeles. I haven't gone too far back to investigate, but it seems that with the new lane markings, they may be one step closer to shifting traffic over for construction of the guideway from Ray Lawson / Hurontario to the Hurontario/Steeles section.

This may also coincide with why they haven't opened the new section over the 407 yet. I believe what they want to do is shift over traffic all at once to the new surface so they have less vehicles interrupting the work in the guideway corridor. The weather doesn't look very forgiving this week so it may be next spring until I'm able to get better photos. Winds are a little too high for my comfort.

Update #2 since I was coming from York MIlls back to Brampton.

1. The new NB lanes over the 407 are open.
2. .Topflight/Hurontario is completed.
3. Guideways from Topflight/Hurontario NB/SB to the 407 intersection have been dug up. Intersections remain untouched until they're ready for it.
4. From what I can see, around 90% of the new NB lanes from 407 / Hurontario up to Steeles / Hurontario have been paved over with lane markings added. SB hasn't been touched, and I'm beginning to wonder if it's just an additional lane as opposed to another two to three lanes.
5. Traction power substation near the superior court has been moved into place.

That's all for now. I'm hoping the snow melts sometime soon so I can get better photos of everything.
