It resembles the podium material at Yonge & Rich, another current project by GG.

GG used to, in my opinion, consistently produce above average projects.........

Yonge + Rich I thought was there first absolute disaster.

This now has me worried......

Did they give up on aspiration?

Same thoughts I've had. In the previous segments of the construction boom, GG were consistently ranked as one of the better developers in terms of aesthetic quality. Some earlier works like Hudson, Charlie, 18 Yorkville, X and X2 helped set standards of good condo design in the city. While higher profile projects like One Bloor East and Monde were overall well done, apart from some minor nuances. Yonge + Rich is where they've started to show signs of neglect on executing details, and the early podium work here is concerning as well.
