Isn't that James North St GO station?
That's exactly what these picture are. Doesn't look like there's much structure yet though. You can see the old CN station that is across the street from the new GO station in the background of the first picture.

Eisenberger says the province will pay full price of LRT, no matter the cost. So if cost goes up, province will cover that #onpoli

Eisenberger said province also wants Hamilton to integrate LRT with GO, likely via a spur from B-line to James North station #onpoli

"We've got a firmer commitment on funding than we've ever had before," @FredEisenberger says #onpoli

Exciting that we are getting the first round of funding announcements.. I wonder how long it will be before we get a Hurontario announcement.

[h=2]HAMILTON MAYOR[/h]Spectator file photoReports say Premier Kathleen Wynne guaranteed at t meeting Monday with Mayor Fred Eisengerger that the province will fully pay for Hamilton's LRT.

Hamilton SpectatorBy Matthew Van Dongen
Ontario's premier has committed to pay 100% of the capital costs for Hamilton's LRT project no matter the final price tag, the Globe and Mail is reporting.
Mayor Fred Eisenberger met with Premier Kathleen Wynne for the first time Monday morning since his reelection and said he intended to ask about the province's commitment to rapid transit in the city.
Wynne has promised 100% funding for rapid transit in the past, but never specified for what project.
A Globe reporter on Twitter quoted Eisenberger after the meeting saying "we've got a firmer commitment on funding than we've ever had before."
It's unclear where Hamilton stands in the queue for rapid transit funding, since several other cities are competing for cash.
More to come.

I think the Hamilton and Hurontario LRT funding deals were always going to happen after the last budget, the question is simply what else should be funded. Yonge extension to steeles, DRL, various BRT projects, etc.

Mr. Byford had a meeting with provincial officials regarding Waterfront West LRT. Hopefully we'll see something about that soon.

Waterfront West, or East Bayfront?

If it's Waterfront West, that would be completely unexpected, but a nice surprise.

East Bayfront isn't exactly easy, but okay.. (sorry, couldn't resist)

Probably Waterfront East first, and some sort of subway extension later. Subways are much larger projects that would likely require partial funding from the city though.

LOL! Fixed.

It was East Bayfront that was listed in the Ontario budget. How are you differing between Waterfront East and East Bayfront?
