You need to tell that to Concord...as the material that they sent to UT about this tower, to my understanding, tells us it's not.
It's a technicality. Depends where you measure. If you use the one exit door it is a supertall, but if you use the main ground level door then it's not. So its up to interpretation.

If you use the any pedestrian entrance, which is how CTBUH uses, it actually is 300.2m. CTBUH defines a primary entrance as any one that accesses an elevator core which services a significant use in the building - the commercial entrance for the retail and community uses are on Yonge, which is where CTBUH does it's measurement from.

CTBUH actually qualifies it as such:

It's just UT which uses the "primary" entrance, instead of any "pedestrian" entrance. As the Residential lobby is on Gerrard, not Yonge, it is 299m according to UT. Lots of fun dissecting, but if you were to measure the vertical elevation change from the tower point to the sidewalk adjacent, it would be over 300m.

Of course it all doesn't really matter, it's just an arbitrary number at the end of the day.

The bigger scandal is how First Canadian Place continues to be recorded as 298 metres tall in databases while in reality it is closer to 290m.

Kinda like when the Empire State Building and Chrysler Building were built right at the beginning of the great depression in NYC.
Chrysler was competing with (and defeated) 40 Wall Street, not ESB, the latter coming a year later and smashing the previous two buildings' 'tallest in the world' title (40 Wall Street holding it for only one month). The story is well-covered in Neil Bascomb's Higher, well worth reading if interested!

we're at this interesting time where the condo market is dead but we're watching the 3 biggest condo projects in the city's history rise (One, Pinnacle, Forma)
These three had a lot of inertia going for them, but it makes me wonder if Forma phase 2 will ultimately be built in its current form, considering that work hasn't even started on clearing the site.

I believe it will get built and I think that you will maybe see progress start to manifest when sales reach a certain point on the first tower not building it would be like Pinnacle not doing the third building at one young

From just after 12:00 pm today; they have poured the column closest to Duncan and King behind the EllisDon banner:

A couple of photos from earlier tonight; I noticed more rebar to the left of the crane:

These towers are really gonna transform this part of the city. Hopefully they inspire developers to try harder than the standard glass tower with balconies with see everywhere in the area, and the city to approve buildings above 150m to amend the table top mountain skyline here.

Don't you mean Transforma this part of the city? 😅
