The area surrounding Islington station is a pretty dreadful place for high-rise architecture. One rare bright spot is the view of 41 Mabelle's staggered balconies while travelling in/out of the station on the subway.
As you can see from the new link at the top of the page, there is a new real estate thread for this project, and most of the posts from purchasers in the building have been moved to that thread.
Thread titles have been updated to reflect the builder's change of name from Beaverbrook to Averton Homes.
5 May 2013: I was surprised how decently this project fits into the Dundas West vibe -- ie creates a better urban streetwall compared to the dreck built here lately.
These condo developments are resulting in a decent streetwall on Dundas, with storefronts on the ground floor. It'll probably be a good, walkable neighbourhood one day.
