Toronto Eglinton Line 5 | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | Arcadis

It occurs to me that the 407 Transitway would be a very good environment for demonstrating low floor automation (among other things I rather strongly suspect that whatever the GTAA comes up with will be a single mixed busway/LRT corridor between Humber College and Renforth).
Why? The 407 Transitway is planned to be fully grade separated, there is absolutely no advantage to using low floor tech for any rail conversion for that corridor. How about we don't pull the same mistake as Ottawa and make a fully grade separated low floor line.

The 407 transitway is a 2050 or later project. A lot about transportation tech will change between now and then.

I wonder how many of the east end Traction Power Substations are complete and ready to operate. From past ML notices
TPSS 9 - Don Valley
TPSS 10- Victoria Park
TPSS 11 - Warden
TPSS 12 - Birchmount

I am sure there is redundancy and interconnectivity so maybe only one is needed to begin testing

Just curious: At which underground stations are TPSSs 1-8 located?

So with the instillation of overhead wires from Brentcliff to Kennedy and potential train testing by the end of the month, my 2 questions are:
1. How are they going to get the test train over there? As for as I know they've only brought trains a few stations away from Mount Dennis.
2. If they instead transport a train to the east end just for testing, where will they keep it? Maybe at Kennedy or Science Centre so its inside?

Kennedy is nowhere near complete enough to "safely" store a train inside. Yes it is a cavern but I don't think it is powered yet nor do I think Metrolinx wants vehicles parked in a construction site for any length of time

Finally got to these 85 photo that are up on site now as well seeing which few I could post here for the 3 locations I shot that day. As you can see the OS was 99% to 100% in place.
