This thread will be used for discussion of Islington-Eglinton Station: a proposed below-grade TTC station on the Eglinton Crosstown (Line 5) West Extension, serving the intersection of Islington Avenue and Eglinton Avenue West in Toronto's Richmond Gardens neighbourhood.

There is a "Richview Collegiate Institute" at the southwest corner of Eglinton & Islington. So naming the station "Richview Station" would be appropriate. The station will occupy the northwest corner.

From link.

The current design of the streets in Etobicoke show a problem that needs correction. How does one WALK from Vancho Crescent (or other streets) to the Islington-Etobicoke (Richview) Station? The city need to buy houses to tear them down and create shortcut walkways, else the potential users will end up walking away from the station to get to the station. Can people cut across the school yard track from Ravensbourne Crescent?
