ok @Northern Light twist my arm, hahaha...

Applications have been made and permits granted for interior re-demising of all 3 levels of the former Nordstrom box, along with demolition of the existing exterior facade in preparation for "future tenants"...which have not yet been announced.

New hoarding is now covering the former "Guess" store...I will update once I know what's going to be there.

The Level 1 fountain is now operating again, after a years long absence. The Starbucks beside it has closed and is covered up. It is being renovated and replaced with % Arabica.

Both new replacement Starbucks locations at the south and north ends of Level 2 are now open.

Bingz Crispy Burger will be opening in the north side Urban Eatery food court.

Constance Taverne, which was supposed to replace the Duke of Richmond at the corner of Queen and James, is still not open over a year after their original opening date announcement of Spring 2023. Meanwhile, during the same time period, O&B's Queen's Cross Food Hall has been announced, renovated and is now operating. I'm wondering if the delay is due to the construction for the Ontario Line on Queen between Bay and Yonge.

Soft Moc is taking over the former Guess location, which means that the shoe store will be moving from its current location beside Shoppers Drug Mart to a more prominant storefront.

Now we only have a few locations currently vacant, including the former UGG (pop-up), Free People (which never reopened after the pandemic), Nordstrom, former Second Cup (beside Kiehls), former Starbucks (off Yonge/Shutter), former Moneysworth (at the level one North Queen TTC Entrance) and Williams Sonoma.

Retail Insider did an interview with INLAND, which will be doing a pop-up in the WS location starting next week: https://retail-insider.com/podcast/...iew-with-founder-sarah-power-video-interview/

I'm somewhat surprised that Second Cup closed as it was always packed when I went in. At first, I thought they were just renovating as the flow wasn't the greatest. I would love it if some kind of coffee shop could return there.

The Free People space is actually part of the Nordstrom re-demising.

* Crosspost from Eaton Centre Renewal thread*

Eataly is one of the tenants in the former Nordstrom box, coming early '25 This will be Toronto's 3rd full Eataly and 4th oveall, only behind Tokyo globally.
