Toronto Daniels Waterfront - City of the Arts | 156.05m | 45s | Daniels | RAW Design

The key sentence, in my opinion, from that story:

The only thing missing, so far at least, is any kind of monetary commitment or timeline for a much-needed LRT line from Union Station along the burgeoning easterly stretch of Queens Quay.
The $$ for the LRT are slowly being accumulated. The 45 Bay Street building will be providing space for an LRT Station in their basement and WT and the City have some funds already allocated. I understand that the owners of the various development blocks are also agitating, hard!

looks like a combination of red and grey brick

At first look it does seem like a very lively design... but more pink umbrellas? Why not a different colour?

To continue the Sugar Beach theme northwest. Smile.

It would be nice to see renderings with the Waterfront Innovation Centre in its place. Instead these still show the larger "hill" at the north end of Sugar Beach, which of course will vanish and be replaced by the large public stairway and cantilevered roof of the Innovation Centre.

Also it's not clear in the Star story but we were (West Don Lands Committee and CodeBlueTO) that the second (eastern) tower would be all rental.

The way the Star story is phrased, there would be 900 units in the taller 48-storey tower... fortunately this is the total number of units in both towers. A huge student's residence would not be a very ambitious project for the waterfront!

Again what Daniels told us in January was rental in the eastern tower, not student residences. George Brown has just built a student residence in the West Don Lands that will be used for the Pan Am Games and then be transferred to GBC.
