As early as Friday, December 16, 2022, a new traffic configuration will be implemented at Mt Pleasant Station. All traffic lanes and turns are expected to open on Mt Pleasant Road and Eglinton Avenue. All sidewalks and crosswalks are expected to open. What to Expect
Reinstatement of traffic lanes, turns, and pedestrian routes at Mount Pleasant Road and Eglinton Avenue. Fencing will remain in place around the station entrances for security purposes. Delays can be expected while the traffic changes are being implemented. Traffic control personnel and/or a Paid Duty Officer will be present while the traffic changes are being implemented. Following the implementation of this traffic configuration, periodic short-term lane closures may be required to facilitate specialized activities.
HOURS OF WORK
• The new traffic configuration will be implemented as early as Friday, December 16, 2022.
• This traffic configuration is expected to remain in place through 2023.
• Overnight work may be required to implement the traffic changes.
• This work may be rescheduled or delayed due to inclement weather and/or unforeseen circumstances.
TRAFFIC DETAILS
• Northbound, southbound, and eastbound traffic will be reinstated to two through lanes at the Mount Pleasant-Eglinton Avenue East intersection.
• West of Mount Pleasant Road, westbound traffic on Eglinton Avenue East will be reinstated to two through lanes.
• East of Mount Pleasant Road, westbound traffic on Eglinton Avenue East will be reinstated to one through lane and a dedicated left and right turn lane.
• All turns will be reinstated at the intersection.
• Dedicated left turn lanes will open for northbound, southbound, and eastbound traffic.
• A dedicated right turn lane will open for southbound traffic.
PEDESTRIAN DETAILS
• All crosswalks and sidewalks are expected to remain open.
