The whole stretch is really ugly. We are also right in the middle of the worst disruption now with the regular subway closures, extensive road closures, etc. By this time next year things should start to improve as construction shifts underground.

The main disruption is at the station boxes. Don't forget that tunnels were dug using boring machines, mostly the stations would be cut-and-cover or mined. Eglinton & Yonge has to be cut-and-cover.
Plus they are also mining under the existing subway line and also extending the existing subway platform north as well.

I love seeing the photos of the site because it's so large scale. Sure, it's a gigantic mess, but the bigger the mess, the more impressed I am of how much work is being done at this one location.

It hits home that much further that this Eglinton line is finally materializing as well.

So if you are coming from E condos or the Yonge Eglinton centre you have to go down an escalator to the "upper ECLRT concourse", back up another escalator, then down another to the subway platform? Seems like a waste, you think they could have provided some sort of through connection to prevent the unnecessary 2 levels of escalator riding. Reminds me of Dundas station, how you have to go down and up again if you want to get to the other side of the street indoors. Often you just don't bother - you just go to surface level and cross the street there.

Maybe I'm reading the subway concourse plan incorrectly, but it looks to me like you can get from E Condos and the Yonge/Eg centre to the subway concourse without going down to the LRT concourse. It looks like there are ramps and stairs connecting those two basements into the unpaid area of the subway concourse.
