I think it would have fit more cohesively with the rest of the design if they at least framed the box in black in the same way the building's facade is framed.

I wish they carried the black further, and the grey less far...if that makes sense.

The mechanical room has appearance of incompleteness in its rawness. Were they going to paint to match, no?
That thing on the top certainly ruins the intended aesthetic look. What a shame.

At ground level, with all the aluminium panels and awkward blank spaces, this building looks cheap, dreary and ugly. It's too bad as the immediate area could use some high quality architecture, both material wise and aesthetically.

For what I see it looks like the proposal? I have not seen in person however. It will soon be blocked on most sides will it not. Another filler.

it does look odd with that concrete block on the top. Makes the building appear incomplete.

This looks much better in photos. I appreciate the form, it has some nice angles and such, but the materials on the tower look so awful. The podium is not quite as bad.

I feel the exact same way. Almost like the outside cladding is holding in the interior. (Sort of like a suit) As much as I try to like this building, the materials do make it a very unappealing-looking tower. The design concept and podium is almost attempting to be the saving grace.

As critical as I have been of this tower, I actually quite like the cladding choice for the podium and the west elevation of the podium. I have to give credit where I see some interesting ideas from the design team, even if the final execution is lacking and constrained by the condo typology and its constraining budgets. There was an attempt in the podium to play with elevation and levels, and along the west elevation that becomes very clear in addition to the texture added by the cladding choices.
More foresight would have been appreciated at the top of the tower where the mechanicals work strongly against the design direction of the rest of the project, and the south elevation of the podium is very awkward.
