Funny you mention that. I was thinking the same thing when I saw that pic. Not only does the maple leaf look okay, but building themselves look better too.

It's a gimmick. A trick in facade colouring. I do like the aesthetics more than whatever inspired Sugar Wharf's facade. I also find it incredibly tacky in the context of Canadian symbolism on a private condo tower. However, some Canadian symbolism at a time when we are supposed to view everything since confederation as evil is also nice. Confused? Me too.
