Of course way, way back, Cityplace was actually a short 9-hole golf course, not just a driving range..

Looking at it from the air makes me wonder why they didn't push the development to the south side of the land and build a linear park connected to Fort York. Seems like a missed opportunity.
It's very prominent from Yonge and Front as well. Will try to get some photos next week from there.One can see those looming all the way from Bloor and Spadina now.
