I’m going to start making up labour strife to explain the molasses-like progress here. Oh what’s that? The Viennese Left-Handed pipe fitter union is striking? That’s why they can’t finish the cladding? Sure sure.

Those garage doors are trimmed out now. Wonder how they’ll integrate with the expansive pedestrian realm back here.

It’s going to be fascinating seeing how that courtyard area gets used and trafficked.

This does not seem like it will be an open path between buildings, and yet…

The grading here should prove to be interesting. Wonder how it will come together.

Also on that last pic, soooo close to being a through road.

Also, I recall the middle portion of the Trinity side had a sizeable staircase in it, is 80% of that side going to all be lobbies? Retail only on Front? Should be interesting to see what they do on the new street to mitigate delivery drivers

I heard they had to wait for a self-storage facility in Guelph to shut down in order to recycle the cladding. That’s why it’s taking so long.
...I was presuming a more prosaic explanation of the prefab being a more complicated process to make for a hefty demand being the reason for this taking so long.

Unpopular opinion alert: I rather like the cladding.
I've said before and I will continue to say, all we ever do is ask for uniqueness, and this is just that. It's visually crazy, industrial, window vomit. I would have liked to see it a bit more reflective, but I think it's an interesting concept.

I think it looks fine - it will eventually be surrounded by buildings on all four sides anyways so distant views of this thing won't be around for all that much longer.

Hopefully they do apply some kind of tint or stain to the precast panels to really bring out their colour - I think making them a bit more RED would help the building base have a bit more weight (feels top heavy right now)
