Toronto Birch House at Canary Landing | 50.3m | 13s | Dream | Stantec

Luckily it should have decent landscaping and trees at ground level like the other blocks so it'll get covered up
Unless there are 20 foot cedars blocking the entire ground realm, and entrances, along the east and south side of the building, it's not going to undo the damage of that horrible cladding choice....they couldn't even choose a dark color to contrast with the light grey precast.

Very Toronto to make such a horrible choice at the ground realm

This project has been a real hit and miss....as they've seem to splurge on some cladding while cheapening out on others. And I'm not sure it's really working... /sigh

yea the unpainted parts almost look intentional, but im not sure what the intention is lol
tbh i dont hate the red.

the warehouse building looks great with the repainted lettering and new windows

They are probably just using extra leftover bricks to fill in areas because they are the correct size / texture and can be tinted to match

This building is a bit of an oddball though - it's kind of a mutant that was expanded various times over the years. Given the industrial location and use of the building, it's unlikely that matching bricks and aesthetics were a priority when these additions were built.
