Thanks Colin for reposting those photos of the lost deco buildings.

It's poignant, but had they survived, at this moment they'd be in the process of having their facades jacked up on iron supports so as to be pinned back onto the front of Aura like hallowe'en masks. Maybe it's best they went when they did?

Here's some vids i took from 2 days ago:

I noticed while walking by today that there's some kind of exposed basement wall clad in yellow encaustic tile of some sort, presumably original...

The March Of The Morning Dump Trucks.

These go back beyond College, and it's like this every morning

Thank you for the videos and photos. What time were the dump trucks there, looks around 7am ish? I suspect that line of dump trucks continues through out the day. It is simply amazing how much goes into a dump truck and yet how small of an impact it has on the site.

Where does all that earth go? How about creating another island in the harbour, or a giant ski hill at Downsview (no, that joke at Centennial Park doesn't count)?

They've removed a hell of a lot of soil, this is really moving along especially for such a huge site.
These were all captured from the S/E corner - Gerrard at Yonge.
