Ah are you referring to the white panels ? I was thinking the same until I saw them today in person, both I and my wife agreed they were actually the best thing to happen to the building. You have to see them in person, it looks more like marble, its a very nice touch!

ya, i'm referring to the "scrabble" blocks,
perhaps it could just be the photograph like you said, i will check it out in person one of these days,
 
I agree, the photo doesn't do it justice. It actually looks very appealing in person. Does anyone know what that material actually is?
 
It appears that those pieces of cladding are faced on each side with a thin facing of limestone, although I wouldn't put fake stone past this project!
 
Sometimes the fake stuff can look as good or even better than the real thing.

The cladding on this building looks good in this weather: plaid, in dark greyish-green paired with a paler grey-blue. I look forward to the adjacent, plain balcony fronts. I think this building may be just fine.

I'm loving the nearby Sick Kids addition. These buildings will make good company.
