Still some light work happening, but it was also close to day's end.

I find the TCHC building to be better looking among this pair. The condo tower is mostly a watered down and staler version of the first couple phases. But overall, it's at a reasonable level of finish. Look forward to seeing the area once the landscaping is completed.

Allenbury Gardens, located northeast of Sheppard Avenue and Don Mills Road, consisted of 133 social housing townhouse units, which were replaced with 133 social housing townhouses and apartment units along with 1,017 market units. Builder FRAM contributed $60,000 for tenant scholarships and also provided tenants with full-time work and job shadowing and training. New site features include indoor amenities, a new park (Allenbury Gardens Park), a playground, a splash pad, a leashed dog run and outdoor fitness equipment.

TCHC held a ceremony at Allenbury Gardens Aug. 31 to mark the completion of the project and to honour scholarship recipients.

“We’ve been able to deliver to our social housing residents quality homes that are more energy efficient and amenities for tenants that meet some of the priorities that they identified,” Mendes said.

TCHC senior director Michael Lam said the Allenbury Gardens project has “at least tripled the population density” of the community. “We’ve also managed to create a lot of new infrastructure: a new public park, new roadways, new sewer connections and upgrade the physical infrastructure of the area.”

We are compiling this year's end-of-year poll and would appreciate an up to date photo showing the front exterior the project. If anybody's swinging by the site, please pop a couple shots for us!

How can this be only 54 metres tall and be 24 storeys? It should be around 80 metres tall.@ArtTsai needs to look into this...

We have fixed up the Allenbury Gardens, Soul, Connect and Vivo Condos, and Verde Condos database files, and have better sorted the posts in the threads to reduce any duplication of data and better reflect which buildings are which, as the threads and DB files are currently a mess. The 24-storey building is Verde, so we have removed the reference to 24 storeys here and have only left it in the Verde DB file and thread, for example.
