This is quite a redevelopment project. I like it. It is so much better use of all that space.
 
For those wondering this project is still on the cards (COVID didn't affect it much), revisions to the overall masterplan were posted back in February (2021). I'm assuming they are still working out issues with the city so construction may be a year or more aware yet.

In regards to the above, here is the info contained in the most recent cover letter. Changes don't appear to be all that substantial.

Summation:

272 affordable housing units, 40-year tenure secured.

A 62-space daycare, and community agency space are also in the deal, in addition to parkland.
That's actually a pretty decent Section-37 deal for Affordable-Housing considering private land, etc.
