Planning submissions expected end of March; Committee of Adjustment sometime in June.

I live a few doors away and am personally quite happy with this proposal, especially since I've thought for a long time that the existing Toronto Corporate Services office, which is a printing plant, should be redeveloped.

That's some decent (predominantly) residential street urban infill. I assume they'll have to request a change in zoning to that property?

There is actually a zoning by-law in place concerning this neighbourhood.
But it appears nobody decided to pay any heed.

It's not that nobody involved pays any heed. The pay a lot of heed - so much that they have to go to the Committee of Adjustment when they seek to build something which exceeds the zoning. It's a long process, and if you are an abutting owner you get to have your say.

It's still not clear what you are commenting on.

oh, sorry...

i was commenting on the by-law they drafted.
I recall living there and going to community meetings,
about the vision for the neighbourhood, and etc...You know all that
stuff, heritage, height, density, blah, blah...
You can pretty much see the intent of it with a little stroll down the street...
High at the edges, lower towards the interior of the community,
that's why you see the step down between the midi-rise and the new townies.
