Toronto 88 Scott Street | 203.9m | 58s | Concert | P + S / IBI

I'm not really a fan of this half-assed PoMo architecture to begin with (do it right or don't do it at all) but I've been on UT long enough to know a P+S/IBI Group header is reason to be extremely skeptical of the design and likely finished product.

I keep forgetting there's 50,000sf of Class AAA office space in here as well

For me that is brand new news!

That is excellent, should be a requirement of buildings this close to the core. Expanding the office space and range of office workers further east will do wonders for local retail.

It's not expanding office space, just replacing what was demolished to make way for this development.

This project will provide a welcome break from the glass and would actually fit well in other new neighbourhoods.

"Other new neighbourhoods"? Do you think about what you're typing before you hit "Post Reply"?

You're spamming the Forum with trivial posts, UView.

Meaning — If this development was positioned in CityPlace or Southcore, it would make a nice addition.

December 12, 2015: BREAKING NEWS! 88 Scott Street makes it's first apperance on the eastern skyline.

On this very overcast December day, if you look closely, you can just barely make out the framing, and a couple of workmen, on what looks to be the the 13th floor.

The red and yellow construction cranes visible from afar.

At the current pace of construction (1 to 1.5 floors per week), it is not unreasonable to assume that this tower could be topped off by September 1st, 2016 (that's my prediction). I'm really looking forward to watching the building rise, and to see what impact it will have on the eastern skyline when it's completed.
