Very anxious to see how they handle the rounded metal / glass details here.
We'll see. I wouldn't mind if they value-engineer the slant to be honest. It just looks gimmicky and unnecessary: the tower's western elevation is straight, so the slant has no continuity, and that side of the podium faces the building next door anyway (Arts & Letters, which has a straight eastern wall), so it won't make a big impression from the street.You wouldn't be able to see it yet, if they were still doing it. They would've run the forms past the slab to give them something to support the slab above.
Edit: and for what it's worth, even in the photo you can see the formwork stepping over to the west. Look how the posts line up. The top deck must be at least a couple feet past the deck below.
