Yeah...they went 401 Bay with the top part. Covering over textured structures with bathroom tiles, that is. /sigh

So sad. This used to be a gorgeous building. Maybe 50-60 years the damage these barbarians did can be undone and the facade re-built to its original look.

They seem to have done nothing on this project for many months - the cladding of the main level remains unfinished and the sidewalk is partly blocked. (I suspect the workers seen in this photo are working on the City project to repave and upgrade Adelaide but ....) It would be good to get the damned thing done!

UPDATE: Cycled past yesterday and it appears they MAY be back at work finishing off the ground floor and fixing the sidewalk.
