The balcony glazing on the 20 John Street midrise, the paving pattern, and the lighting under the entrance awnings looks great. Otherwise I'm thoroughly disappointed by the exterior on this project.

Dear God that shorter, all greyish-white portion with the off-setting balconies looks like a prison.

The top of the building looks like they didn't even incorporate it into the design. By the looks of it they were designing a rectangle from the bottom up...and then abruptly stopped.

Dark cladding

It does look really good from that vantage point. Should have gone with the dark cladding on the entire building.

That ,what I has been stressing all along. Light colour has a chipening effect on the whole structure , which is too bad...

It truly is hideous. Imagine how beautiful this would have looked if the cladding was the same as Hariri Pontarini's Regent Park - One Park Place. Imagine that: Regent Park gets the superior cladding.

Yes, when Regent Park looks better than a prime, downtown site, you know something is wrong. (good for Regent Park, the city did something right) Tridel, what the hell were you thinking?
