Some issues w/the Landscape Plan.
Lets start w/soil volume per tree:
2nd last column there.
In a word, "No"
I want to see at least 30M3 per tree and 40 would be ideal.
Also, why are we planting Japanese Cherry Tree? There are lots of beautiful, flowering, native cherry trees. Just sayin.
Speaking of which:
The remaining plant list above. It's not terrible by any means; though getting Birch to do well in an urban setting is very challenging.
But I do take issue with what's been classified as native here.
This is the definitive list of what is native in TRCA jurisdiction:
Fragrant Sumac is L+ (non-native)
Flowering Dogwood isn't even recorded on the list (meaning you can't find it in a natural area in TRCA jurisdiction)
The Yew is a cultivar, so NO
Sideoats Grass is listed at L+ (non-native)
Featherreed Grass is L+
