I still dont understand the praise this is getting. I think it looks bland at best and ugly at worst.

It looks cheap, and skinny from one angle but super wide from another. A huge step in the wrong direction for this area imo. It will be years before its impact on the skyline is relegated.

That's just me though.

Not many residential developers are willing to experiment with high-end cladding systems such as precast, stone, metal panels etc - the praise is mostly due to the fact that the developer has not sacrificed their architect's imagination for profit.

Given the narrow land size and strict limiting distance requirements from neighboring properties, there are not that many options to position high rise building other than what has been done.
