Yonge/eg really is different from when I went to school in the area. Overwhelming but kind of in a cool way? Of course I know there are strains on infrastructure and issues of aesthetics and services, however It's become kind of like Downtown where there's such a variety in terms of the kind of people you see now - it used to feel kind of WASP-y/ just one demographic and one type of person.

This one is before the next meeting of Council with a Request for Directions Report.

This one is a settlement offer and it is public.

I don't necessarily like it that much and probably won't miss it in the long run, but this is the first time that I've noticed the po-mo type elements of the existing building. May have been neat if it were originally 3 times taller.

Based on my observations of the site over the last few weeks, this should be happening fairly soon.
Lifetime would need community council direction to be able to do that without the replacement building permit in hand. There's no evidence they've yet secured this.

Oh, apologies. I assumed they had that for whatever reason. The ground level has been boarded up as well.
EDIT: Mind you my definition of soon is 3 months or so.

I assume this was an office element that gave up the ghost?

Er...not sure what the nature of your "?" is. So I'll try to rephrase the question the best I can: What was this building before it was all fenced off? I was presuming (likely not correctly) that it was an office tower that the owner couldn't find any tenant(s) for after the previous tenant(s) moved out...leaving it emptied and shuttered.

So knowing this it can still take a while? Debating to rent a SW unit next door and trying to evaluate the construction timing. Thank you all for the help!
