The Public Meeting Recommendation Report (here) concluded that "the proposed development maintains the goals and objectives of the Lakeview Local Area Plan and represents an overall built form that is compatible with the surrounding neighbourhood. The proposed official plan amendment and rezoning applications are acceptable from a planning standpoint and should be approved."
This proposal was considered at the Planning & Development Committee meeting held on November 13, 2023 (item 6.3 in the minutes, here). Council approved the following recommendations:
That City Council amend Mississauga Official Plan to Residential High Density for 1041 Lakeshore Road East (1005 Ogden Avenue), in accordance with the provisions contained in the staff report dated October 25, 2023 from the Commissioner of Planning and Building.
That City Council amend Zoning By-law 0225-2007 to H-RA2-Exception(Apartments – Exception Holding Provision) for 1041 Lakeshore Road East (1005 Ogden Avenue), in accordance with the provisions contained in the staff report dated October 25, 2023 from the Commissioner of Planning and Building.
That the "H" holding provision is to be removed from the RA2-Exception(Apartments - Exception) zoning applicable to the subject lands, by further amendment upon confirmation from applicable agencies and City Departments that matters as outlined in the report dated October 25, 2023, from the Commissioner of Planning and Building have been satisfactorily addressed.
