The angles on the north and south ends of the tower resemble/relate to the lozenge floorplate of Shangri-La.

That's one thick podium, can't wait to see it come up in the skyline

Yup! And I like that they rounded of the corners with rounded glass windows. Plus the precast is in a reddish and cream colour which is well needed in this area.

The biggest downside is that I am going to miss using that parkade as a vantage for photographing the rest of this area's development.

Yeah...it's amazing that those 300 m'ter's seem to dwarf everything that's tall around them.

None of those 300 m towers are anywhere close to construction so I don't think 209 meters is short. This will be in top 20 tallest in Toronto if built today.

M+G is almost a given though, barring financial fall out with the project (unlikely). As it is furthest along the approval process.

Wild how there's gonna be a whole new wing of the skyline and city core built out in these blocks and the only buildings that have risen yet are PJ Condos and Theatre Park, both of which look teeny tiny in @steveve's renders above. They even look look small in comparison to this building, and then this one looks tiny in comparison to the future King St. giants.
