Toronto Ïce Condominiums at York Centre | 234.07m | 67s | Lanterra | a—A

I think Optima at Cityplace got into a legal spat with Rogers Centre because of the visibility issue (i.e. the games are visible from the tower).

AoD

I don't think there were any legal issues.

The only issues I can remember were shadowing and reflections on the field, something which had to be worked out between Concord Adex and Skydome before the city gave them the approval.

(And there's a clause in the condo documents saying residents cant complain about noise or traffic caused by events at the dome)

The Financial District were the first towers visible when SkyDome opened back in '89. But yes, Cityplace became the first set of condos visible from the dome some years ago.

I do recall seeing Ice from the third base line in May, 2014. (Don't mean to stray OT)

Despite the Jays' improvement, attendance at the games is still pretty dismal.

They sold over 37,000 tickets for yesterday's game. Ticket sales are most certainly on the rise right now.

That's just not true. I've found that getting Jays tickets are harder than I ever remember. Weekday games are averaging the high 30 thousands (to put that in perspective, Fenway Park's capacity is 38,000) and weekend games are sold out. I'm trying to get tickets to this weekend's sold out Yankees series but tickets are starting at $70 on stubhub, something that previously only happened on opening day or Canada day and especially not in mid August.

I had the opportunity to view the buildings from the islands and ferry recently and they look spectacular from the water, a sleek design and very dramatic.

Wow, I love that shot. It's a whole new angle. I'm assuming you go up there from...the footpath on the north side of Lakeshore there? I've never been up there.

Thanks! It's from the driveway at the north/west corner of Jarvis and Lake Shore. I had to climb on top of a sign to get elevated enough over the fence. There was rail repair vehicles driving in and out of their restricted area while I was sitting up there, usually without camera in hand, waiting for the train to come. They must've been puzzled o_O

Here are some shots from various points on the islands from just over a week ago:
