Why does one need super high ceilings? for what purpose other then to feel superior. That being said, it'll add more height, so go for it. Let them well off folks have their luxury units.

3.0 meters is about the equivalent of having 9 foot ceilings. (once space for ductwork and the thickness of the concrete slab is accounted for) The complete standard for even low end residential buildings is 2.95 meters, or 3 meters with rounding.

Thanks for answering that, thicker concrete between floors is a plus. Noise dampening and what not.

It makes the unit seem more open and spacious. You can have larger windows to let light reach deeper into the unit.

I find the opposite can be true of some lofts. The law of diminishing returns, so to speak. When the ceiling is actually nearly as high or higher than the dimension of the room, the floor space seems rather small.

Do we have any idea when we're going to see some more balcony glass going up? Have a feeling that's going to change the look of the building quite a bit (in a good way).

Cellphone pics.

I think it has more than 14 floors to go, considering it's currently shorter than the 57 storey tower which is currently topped out. Given that tower 2 is 10 floors higher than tower 1... I would say it has about 18-20 floors to go.

It looks like they've currently completed work on the 51st level and are starting the walls for the 52nd. I say 16 to go, plus 3 mechanical and whatever the rooftop feature is.
