Fortunately, instead of going to Akihabara on Sunday, I decided to go to Odaiba and check out the FujiTV building and the Aqua City shopping/entertainment complex.
FujiTV:
Unless you are a fan of after school anime or really into Youtube, I don't think that they have any shows that anyone would be familiar with. They seem to have the Japanese market cornered on the nighttime talk/variety shows.
The view from the 25th floor observation sphere. It was a little hazy.
Also a good spot to watch the sun set over Tokyo.
Yes, they have a Statue of Liberty. Gives the place a Las Vegas-y feel which isn't a good thing.
The Rainbow Bridge all lit up.
I have video of the monorail ride across the bridge - is there any way to embed video here?
Also, the new Tokyo communication tower that I posted a link to previously, has officially been given a name. Get ready for it... The Tokyo Sky Tree. Oh boy. I don't know why they couldn't find a Japanese name.
