Well, to each his own (re Grad House). I will admit that I like the idea of the part that overhangs Harbord. It creates an interesting "gateway" to the campus. Having said that, I would not want to live in this building. sp likens it to a jail; that is the thought that I have had several times. A visitor from Britain a couple of years ago claimed that it was very similar to a jail she had seen there, and was befuddled that it was part of the univeristy!
In fairness, I also like the restaurant at the street corner, it shows some respect for the setting and the street life. But this building was a big wasted opportunity IMO.
