^ The height can't be incremental. All the tracks, starting from the North wall to the South wall need to have the required clearance.

You can either have ramps or you can have the landings of the bridge start well before the tracks in which case an incremental height increase would work as long as it reached the required clearance at the beginning of the span on each end.

Other issues worthy of mention:

- Diesel trains running by this bridge all year will definitely require a regular cleaning of the windows from the outside. It's not clear how that would work.

- Scratchitti - All that glass could turn out like our transit shelters, scratched names, acid or any other form of vandalism. This glass looks to be much more expensive to replace than a transit shelter.

#11-A good design that needs widening...

Everyone: This is a neat design but the deck should be wider to allow people to walk straight across and to allow clear sightlines for security reasons.
I can picture the outer curves being used for trainspotting or other viewing and to allow a bench or two to be placed on it.
I also can picture the glass being lit at night in blue giving off an interesting effect for those using it.

A bit wider with a slight slope and this would be perfect.

This is the best design so far imo. a little higher and wider would be great because you could put benches and other stuff(like someone said before). it still fits in with building around it is the perfect design great work

Fun with 3D drawing programs

Hi,
as pretty as the drawing and the concept is there is no structure to this bridge, no supporting post as you say but also no structural elements to form the upper span of a truss. This needs a serious reality check.

Great idea, wrong context. Would work wonderfully as a pedestrian bridge to the island airport.

I agree with other posters, it seems way too small for bikers and pedestrians.
