Speaking of gay ... When We Four Queens visited Hamilton yesterday we met up with Andrew, an artist friend who moved there from Riverdale last year with his partner. Andrew told us that another gay couple he knows have also just done the same. Then we dropped in on Bruce's friends, a gay couple from T.O. who'd bought a Victorian house about five years ago and fully restored it ...
On the way back, We Four discussed the phenomenon and decided that, appealing though it is to pick up fine old properties on the cheap, Hamilton is just a little too distant for a regular commute and sorely lacks the kind of gay scene we have here.
