Rounding the Bend

that spot in the bend, where the land to the right rises slightly (instead of dropping off to the valley floor as it does in the right foreground), is the location of a small plateau jutting out from the east/south wall of the river valley (on the left here) and levelled to make way for the dvp, where once stood the house of john taylor, described on page 36 et seq of charles sauriol's "tales of the don"

Thanks! It is kind of funny considering I am the biggest anti-holiday grinch ever, but I am a sucker for shiny lights. As for the tunnel shot, I didn't take a video but I will consider doing so next time I use the Sheppard line (the only place where I am guaranteed an old train with accessible front or back windows)

Last time I tried to do that a TTC employee stopped me. Apparently for security reasons. I think the guy just didn't like me.
