someMidTowner's Toronto Photos

Great picture! I love the few cylindrical stations we have. Do people know how they were made? I assume that the TBMs were the size of the tunnels themselves, so how did they manage to bore the much-wider-diameter platform area? (or was that the size of the TBM and the tunnel part is just filled in a bit?)

Wish I had an answer for ya, but I can't imagine this station was TBM cut. Most are excavated with cut and cover methods, and I can only assume the same happened at Queens Park.

Anyways, here is a shot from today taken at the Cheltenham Badlands, north of Brampton

Same location, but more trying to mess with colour profiles and scouting specific spots for a model shoot

What's the deal with these badlands? Never heard of them.

Some farmers in the 1930's weren't exactly at the top of their game. They were so terrible at farming, that their land degraded and eroded. The resulting landscape is unique and confusing. Google "Cheltenham Badlands" for more info
