On a deserted Sunday afternoon, I had the streets all to myself while roaring jets from the air show traversed the skies above me.

Bathurst Street is west of downtown. From the bridge towards the harbour, the entire Toronto skyline is visible, with the financial district's skyscrapers to the left of the CN Tower while the Cityplace residential development is on the right.

A lot of the disused railway lands will be transformed into residentials.

Here is a historical building awaiting redevelopment.

Canada's low-cost carrier Westjet has an ad.

Down the street Canada's main-line traditional carrier also has an ad.

The Gardiner Expressway cuts Toronto's downtown into two halves. It's quite an ugly eyesore, and must be expensive to maintain, but it's unlikely to be replaced any time soon.

I've uploaded a series of new photos to my Toronto gallery - click here : www.geocities.com/asiaglobe/gallery/toronto.htm

I think that's the Quad Lofts. Very expensive, but yes, nice.
