I went to view 2 units this weekend and I agree with your observations. The building feels cheaply built and rushed to market. Besides the PDI deficiencies (missing panels, closet, bedroom, fridge doors not closing properly, rattling of panels), there were design flaws that can't be easily fixed. For example, we hated the handleless design as well, makes it difficult to open and close cabinets, drawers, fridge, bedroom door and shower door (it's a circular knob with no grip). The shower was barely big enough to fit me and I am a slim guy. Appliances were minimal and cheap, some are no name brands, others are a mix and match of kitchenaid, whirlpool, Blomberg. Also they don't include a microwave.
My agent said exposed ceilings are hit and miss 50% of the time with clients. I didn't dig it because it looks dirty. Noise was another issue, when the old buildings next door has their ventilation or AC running, you can hear them inside the unit even when the doors and windows are closed and this was on a higher floor too.
Lastly, my agent showed me in the past several months, barely any units were sold, most of them were terminated. Not hard to understand why, we left feeling quite underwhelmed and unimpressed.
