When a councilor is appointed DM it does not trigger a by-election. The DM is just a councilor who also has the position of DM.

Properly, he might be called to testify at Lisi's preliminary hearing (not trial); having been subpoenaed is no guarantee (not even a Doug Ford guarantee) that he will be called to testify.

Many a long-time councillor started as a School Trustee, it gives you name recognition if you decide to flip over to councillor because you've got a form of incumbent status.

The machinations of these people are not to be underestimated.
 
Jesus, what a roller coaster ride. So the Matyrdom of St. Slob via Tumor was just a scam after all. Kouvalis certainly called it...but then, he knows the Fords, doesn't he?

And far too many of us, even those who are smart enough to know better, even with the Ford family's history of lies, ruthlessness, corruption and perfect willingness to game the system, are still far too stupidly willing to give them the benefit of the doubt when something suspicious happens. In a Now Magazine piece yesterday, the usually intelligent Enzo DiMatteo was wagging his finger at people who were buying into a "vast right wing conspiracy" by assuming the Fords were being a little less than honest in this latest episode. And look how it's turned out.

Yeah, but I doubt any money will actually change hands, which is again, how they're gaming the system. Doug: You got that money from me, right Rob? Rob: Of course.

Not to mention, if they're the ones printing the stuff, they can pretty much set what the "value" was, no?
 
Apparently Amin Massoudi was the one telling reporters that Doug will make the announcement at Diane's house.

So naturally, the first question is why the fuck is Amin Massoudi saying anything about Doug's campaign.

You retain water with excess salt in your system. It'd staunch any that might be headed towards the bladder, and help you retain the water from the ramen broth.
