I would avoid CP2Ford right now if the TV is on. They have a Ford on TV.
Looks like Doug's slapping together a Ford Fest Day Camp for teen girls up at the cottage (Ford Fest for boys apparently to be held later this month):

Also link to LeDrew segment on CP20Ford: http://www.cp24.com/video?clipId=677113 (WARNING! Features Doug)
(Glad LeDrew asked about insurance for this event.)

from that sun article...
Ford said his brother, who is still recovering from cancer surgery, won’t be there because he’s “under the weather.”

really doug? but he's healthy enough to go to the bahamas and attend several days of jays' games...

I love that Dan Jacob's facebook profile picture is an action shot of him on the job.

... as a D.J.

I live in earshot of the Kee to Bala. As long as the sound is cheerful I'm fine with it.

First of all, it's a live venue where people go to hear real bands play real music.
Secondly, you aren't seriously trying to equate a small cottage country dance hall to 60,000 puking 905'ers are you?

If the clubs hadn't moved in it would not have attracted the development of condos.

Ah........no. If anything, it hindered it.

whose owners promptly started complaining about the clubs.

Woop Dee Doo. There's no grandfather clause for bad behaviour.

muzik would have security cameras, right? if so, why are police desperately appealing to the public to provide pictures and video of the night?

plus... i find the following some interesting points to make, especially the part i have bolded...

Do Drake's lyrics explain the rapper's silence on Muzik nightclub shootings?
On No Tellin', Drake raps: "Yeah, police comin' 'round lookin' for some help on a case they gotta solve, we never help 'em." The line is repeated as a chorus multiple times.
[...]
But rap lyrics are only a partial reflection of what the rapper actually represents, said Rinaldo Walcott, an associate professor and chair of the department of Sociology and Equity Studies at University of Toronto.
[...]
Walcott points out that if lyrics in songs were treated as absolute truth, police would arrest all sorts of musicians who sing about crime. "But no one has arrested Hank Williams Jr.," said Walcott, referencing a country music star who has a song about killing a man.

Walcott said it was more likely young black men — a community historically over-policed in Toronto — would be wary about dealing with police. "What you have are people that already quite heavily policed refusing to participate in something that will bring more policing," he said.

He pointed out that police rarely come forward when a member of the force is accused of a crime, which he said could be part of the problem in the Muzik shootings.

"The 'No snitching' culture runs both ways," he said. "We don't get the good cops telling us what the bad cops are doing."

i see she's friends with the sober coach... and someone with the last name dawe...
Don't forget someone could be trolling this thread with that account; maybe even someone from this thread.

do you think they were having trouble getting a permit for north york so they went with ford fest day camp instead?
Nah, I think they're buying loyalty for 2018.

If they can't get North York, I'm sure they'll go back to that giant lot in Rexdale.

Or maybe they've moved it to England :p

Ford Speak: Under the weather = hung over or laying low due to "legal" reasons.

I find it hard that there was any one who has not heard of Muskoka, it seems to me this is just another opportunity to advertise the Ford brand.

That's why I found it weird that TPS announced the suspension of paid duty @ Muzik - initial reports of the shootings in The Star had cops (Schertzer) stating that security @ Muzik had been good. There'd been regular cops, paid duty officers and Muzik's own security officers. Sounds like more than enough liability to go around. And the cops know about Muzik; all the paid duties who were there signed up for it. Haven't read today's paper yet but haven't heard anything about the 3 injured parties . I don't think this was "random violence" but more like the "known to police" type - there was a least one statement from cops referring to "gang related".

What does it take to suspend paid duty when to the cops and their union its like a sacrament?

I don't know but it doesn't look good when something like that happens despite the presence of three kinds of armed enforcement, does it?

I rarely say this (especially at the Sun), but read the comments. Quite funny. My favourite:
"Come on Doug! Does it really take 50 kids to paint a cottage?"

Knowing the Fords' penchant for trying to get out in front of bad news by suddenly appearing to do good things and, y'know, care about people, doesn't this seem like some kind of pre-emptive damage control? Is the COI trial about to put them in a really unflattering light?
