Rob Ford's Toronto

thought i'd see what might be new with di battista and came across this article from february...

in April, 2007, his mentor, Romeo DiBattista Sr., informed him that his services were no longer needed. The DiBattista family, which had stakes in businesses as diverse as concrete-forming, meat processing, real estate and broadcasting, also sued Dovigi for allegedly misappropriating $673,000 in funds.
[...]
The company’s growth has made its chief executive very wealthy. Dovigi owns two multimillion-dollar homes, including one near Casa Loma that overlooks downtown Toronto. As a “hobby,” he purchases, renovates and then sells luxury cottages in the Muskoka region.

As for the rift with his mentor Romeo DiBattista and his family, the two parties are still not on speaking terms. The allegations, denied by Dovigi, were never tested in court and a confidential settlement was reached. Says Dovigi: “They went their way and I went my way.”

the dovigi muskoka connection feels like new info, but i could be wrong.

East German sex spies, Tunagate and crack: Everything you need to know about Canada’s scandalous history

Canada is more scandalous than you may think

Bryden approached her project expecting to uncover 50 scandals, at most. Instead, she found almost 800, though she says her list is not complete, exhaustive, or definitive, and has less of a focus on the 1960s onward than the 19th century, so its also likely that some scandals were left out.

The Rob Ford crack scandal is not the biggest

In terms of the Gardiner debate, it's no surprise Ford plans to support the option no one is recommending: leave it as is. Not based on any research; just so he can stand out from the pack come the next election. Expect a campaign of lies on this topic from the Fords for the coming years.

huh...

http://www.thestar.com/news/crime/2015/06/02/more-than-18-arrested-in-gta-raids-targeting-organized-crime.html

"The Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit says the arrests followed a two-year investigation." Checks out.

"It says the operation dismantled several crime cells involved in importing drugs, trafficking firearms and drugs, and in some cases, extreme violence and extortion." Checks out.

"More details are expected to be released at a news conference Wednesday morning." Can't wait!

Status quo is the golden rule for Fords, it's easier to hide imperfections.

Do you think this is related to the Fords?

Do you think this is related to the Fords?

i guess we'll have a better idea tomorrow. this mentions a specific time...

However, officers in charge of the CFSEU plan reveal further details of the investigation at a news conference in Aurora scheduled for 11 a.m. Wednesday.

i gotta add... wonder why these raids are so hush hush... 'cause when it's a raid on a 'street-gang' we see pictures of the raids, learn the project name, learn the names of the people arrested... on the day of.

+1.
Amazing finds, evvabeing. I just hope you have excellent home security!

i think the lesson is, try your best to be mature and settle your differences outside of court, 'cause if you put it in the hands of the court, it becomes public information.
