That'd probably be Doug's best play politically--he'd stay in the spotlight and set himself up for another mayoralty run. I think if he went away for a few years it'd damage the Ford brand.

That's a tough act to follow, maybe Doug will round up some of Harper's Boy Scouts. Maybe they could swim Lake Ontario before they march in the procession? That would be impressive.

Ok, I've been trying to be respectful in wake of his death but...how strange is it that the disgraced, crack-smoking mayor gets this royal send off? No one I've spoken to can understand it. Perhaps Tory thinks he can win over part of Ford Nation by supporting this?

In a way it's like city hall is getting the last laugh. He abused the office of the mayor, the staff, security guards, media and now he lies dead. Are the blue velvet ropes being used one last time?

It's a sick joke, that's for sure. Well, considering how TPS is having some "image" problems of its' own, this cannot help. It's hypocritical, for one - and suggestive of the inability to tell right from wrong.
