From the days before Rob and Doug lost their religion and got into using and selling drugs instead.

An update from Nathan Phillips Square:

All councillors with windows overlooking the square have removed all signs from their windows, save two.

One unknown councillor is displaying an unobtrusive Don Jail Rdwy streetsign, another is displaying two large ROB FORD COUNCILLOR lawn signs.

He still thinks we have a spending problem.

Yah, chemo brain has Robbie thinking he is still mayor. The spending problem was during his tenure. Robbie didn't want to pay the cities bills, instead he misused city resources, re: taxpayers money, to pay for his personal tasks.

The FF Nation should learn that you need to pay your bills and not expect someone to do it for you. You want shiny learn to pay for shiny.

“I guarantee that there are still millions of dollars in savings to be found, which could be redirected into a dedicated transit & housing fund.”

yet he didn't find them while looking for money for 'his' subway.

here's a good read from february to put things into better perspective...

Toronto’s 2015 budget problems were easily avoidable
Toronto’s financial problems are no surprise. They’re mostly the result of politicians who insisted on starving the city of revenues needed to keep pace with inflation and growth.
[...]
it’s a striking example of how the political desire to pass budgets with low annual revenues increases conflicts with good long-term fiscal planning.

Had Toronto simply stuck with inflationary tax increases, refrained from cutting a revenue source while trying to deal with a structural deficit and not insisted on trying to work a subway tax levy into its already constrained operating budget, there would be a lot less budget grumbling going on right now.

Just a little Reality Check for us.

Homicidal Yanks : San Bernadino has CNN asking "Is it Terrorism?" Meanwhile, this event is the 355th mass shooting in America this year, and there's still most of December to go. Maybe they should be asking the same question about Donald Trump leading the polls for President.

But on the bright side, in Doug's favorite city, Chicago, the pressure for Rahm Emmanuel''s resignation as mayor is rising over his attempt to cover up a police shooting just prior to his re-election last year.
