A whimsical thought I had is that it reads like a paraphrase of whatever a Scott MacIntyre might have directed at the Fords.

And indeed, the most immediate-to-the-family and *genuinely* threatening examples of "those who don't like Ford" might as well be, well, Scott McIntyre types--i.e. the antithesis of bike-riding pinko types.

Libel actually; according to Wikipedia:
