As usual he dominates with the youngest, most uneducated voters. Good news is that 58% said Ford should resign, and the overall results confirm that without new support, it will be difficult for him to win.

I don't know how long he has been on TPS, but I am in the same pension plan ( OMERS ). It takes 35 years to "max-out".

A sense of duty to the City is an incentive to stay, but so is "maxing-out" your pension.
 
I've been feeling (although I think hoping and/or speculating is a more accurate term) that Brazen has been able catch their breath and to shore things up while Ford is out of their hair. I would not be surprised to see an arrest soon after he returns to the 416.
 
My son is a friend of the girl who saw RoFo at Timmy's. She was adamant that it was not Doug, and no one saw any t shirts etc. I believe her because the timeline makes sense - on his way from detox to GS.

I don't have huge hopes of an arrest but I would imagine, if they were going to do it, they would avoid the optics of arresting him while he's in rehab (however fake that rehab may be).
 
Another feeling I have is that the media are holding onto one or more crazy stories to drop closer to the election, especially if by some force of insanity that grips the electorate Ford is still in the race by then.

And then of course the fact that there is no way Ford makes it four months without relapsing in a grand fashion.

I think the Star is keeping something big for later. Remember the hints from Cooke about Cachet Ladies? They didn't publish anything about that, but published the story about his "home" life. Perhaps TPS asked them to lay off while they were still working the case, especially if the escort/drug delivery story is true.

although this makes intuitive sense, i don't think that it really fits in practice. somewhere at TPS HQ, there's a handful of people in a basement who are going through boxes of paper, piles of photos, and trying to reconstitute a whole lot of digital files. they're hoping to gather enough evidence to make a case.

whether ford's making an ass of himself or whether he's gone off the grid in timbuktu has no real bearing on how quickly those analysts do their thing.

i guess an exception would be if we think that the cops themselves are actually still out doing shoe-leather stuff, and ford himself is actively sabotaging that. but i doubt it.

Exactly - if the file is still open that means they think there is more evidence of past transgressions. They aren't sitting around waiting for Ford to screw up again.

they may be simply sitting on it and waiting for a 'good' time to release it, or they might be waiting for legal to vet it. didn't they sit on the original crack story (among others) to allow their legal teams to make sure they were in the clear, and to try to confirmation from other sources?
 
Rob Ford has made the TPS' job more political than it ever had to be. They have to balance public perception with the facts which means making sure everything is solid and timing things perfectly. It's not a regular bust. I have faith that they are working as hard as they can, but I'm also sure there are some insiders who are obfuscating the process on behalf of the Fords.

Or maybe there's no story there? So Ford enjoys the company of escorts. Is that illegal? What if he and Renata have an open relationship? Is that something that needs to be reported for the good of the city?
