I think Metro Man said he was going to Costa Rica ... and anticipating that there'd be a big development while he was away (in the 'just my luck' sense, not because he had heard anything specific).

This comment does not make sense. No one here has avoided the topic of domestic violence at the Ford's home. No one, until now, has mocked a small woman and 2 little kids being beaten by a huge 300+ man, either.
Saying that Ford has 'enough to beat at home' is quite out of line; worse than speculating about his demise. At least, Ford is contributing to his ill health. Those kids have no power in that situation. Making fun of them is ... off.

Whether it involves another man or a working woman, it might be embarrassing for the mayor, but it would hardly be characterised as "heinous" by an intelligent adult, which suggests, well...what it suggests. Beyond the pale if true, but for now I think I'd much rather step back and see what actually transpires than put too much stock in rumours that distasteful.

Oh he is just going to then rant about how he is the one at the rainstorm in July and icestorm in December and tell us how it is "true leadership" while doing f*** all other than photo-ops. Forget those, ask what happens if we had a SARS.

Didn't he spend the time sitting in his car? Or was that another time. So many possibilities to show leadership, so many disappointing failures.

It's true that there were no charges, but that's irrelevant to Ford Nation. Moral outrage/relativism trumps the facts.
 
The Fords know about the Mayor Frod account. It was suspended due to a complaint (for impersonation) a few weeks ago. Huge outcry from Twitter and media picked the story up too. It's back now. As for Doug's daughters, they stay far removed from all of this. If you expect Doug's girls to take notice then your better be on Instagram.

Bingo. I wish opposition pols could articulate it this well. Porter's hands are all over this, and it's basically a corporate subsidy at the cost of the public deciding the future of the city waterfront.

To be fair, that high level city official could have picked up that rumour the same we did: by reading UT.
