Almost certainly related to the video related violence and not any of the speculation here and in recent pages.

They are the organized crime 'family' with a huge network in Toronto. Connections to construction etc. The Fords are not top players by any stretch but they most likely take their marching orders from this family. That is my guess any way.
A few hundred pages back or so, (in the summer?) there was a big discussion about the mafia, and connections to the Fords.
 
We made the dead girl/live boy joke, but just laughed it off. He doesn't know the specifics, but seemed to believe that it was to do with misuse of the office...now how big or small that might be, who knows.

I'm inclined to believe that there's a connection to his push for casinos and construction (subways, the waterfront, etc...) and organized crime on top of the whole extortion/crack video thing. That's purely me speculating, though.

Yes, I would be inclined to agree.
In the summer too, someone posted that they knew construction heads/developers who had got the Fords to push their requests through faster.
Not sure if that is verifiable.

Not verifiable (yet?) but it's oh-so-easy to imagine.

Just to scratch the surface of what is verifiable - and which Doug even brags about - I recommend you read about Doug's definitely-not-corrupt-looking involvement in Build Toronto. Amongst other things, he attempted to parachute in his preferred CEO so he could engineer the ridiculous ferris wheel/monorail development - it's worth a quick read.

And the push for the subway. Find out who owns the land that is effected by Ford's (Snitz's) subway and and you may find some answers.

No "hook up" so much as blackmail with compromising info. Also, Lisi was handing Ford packages. The belief is that it was money, possibly bribes. Ford has been known to support city contracts for people he has connections to (like garbage). And most mobs are connected to construction (see: Montreal), so it's possible that he may be giving contract or voting in favour of proposals (i.e. subway) to filter back toward shady organizations. It's not necessarily connected, but there are enough unanswered questions to raise suspicions.
