...efforts… lol
#ThrowbackThursdayNew construction pictures.
Looking east towards the 403/410 interchange. It looks as if they're building a new highway beside the 401. My assumption is that the directions of traffic will shift once complete to maintain the collector/express configuration.
Looking west towards Highway 10/Hurontario Street. A new basketweave bridge can be seen under construction as well.
With all the roadwork going on right now, this is certainly the most grandiose project.
The collector to express transfer at Hurontario still hasn't opened yet. Compare that to this photo from 2013 when the widening of that section was completed, since that section was never touched for 7 years, weeds has grown on the side of the road.: http://asphaltplanet.ca/ON/hwy_401_images/Hurontario/2013/10-Oct/401_cl_342_east_WB_Oct13.jpgTry to get on the express lane at 410, but still close and access is only from 427 area at this time. Don't see sign supports for the eastbound HOV lane

Looking east from Hurontario overpass.
Looking west from Hurontario overpass and need a zoom larger than 300 to get a close look at the express to collector transfer lane area.
From the side road
That used to be the old transfer until the express lane open and expect it will remain a transfer lane from I was seeing. I believe you will have to use the Hurontario transfer lane to get to Mavis and the new one will be for Mississauga Rd.when you're coming from the Express lanes, when do they expect you to get off for Mavis? I have taken the 403/410 exit and done that, but it's not signed that way at present and the one that is right before Mavis is super close to Mavis (I'm not sure if it's the one that was open a few weeks ago briefly).
I just drove past there 4 days ago, I did not see anything obvious.I am hearing widening between Highway 24 and Townline Road has started in Cambridge. Has anyone gone that way to check it out?

I wouldn't expect much other than some prep work to start this year. Once the snow flies things will be at pretty much a standstill until next spring.
Same thing with this recently announced 401 widening contract in Tilbury. Probably just some very preliminary work will start before the first major snowfall.
